Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

The Harry Potter series is dark, scary and at times, somewhat gory. This series is one of the most controversial series ever. And I'm pro-Harry. Though what I said at the begiining of this post made it seem like I didn't like it, this is my favorite book series. Ever. If you're one of those people who think Harry Potter is a devil-worshipper or whatever, you clearly have never read one of these books. At time, it is funny and light-hearted. Most  of the time, it IS dark. However, there are multiple Christian elements, such as good triumphs over evil, love conquers, etc. So go out there and read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. You won't be able to stop.

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment is a "ride that starts fast and gets faster." With a sci-fi theme, action-packed plot, and a joy ride of a book, James Patterson creates yet another masterpiece. The book centers around six mutant bird/human hybrids. They're teens with wings, and feisty attitudes, being chased by "Erasers", people who, with the help of the same "School" that created the bird-kids, have turned into wolf-human hybrids. Odd, yes, but I read it in just a couple days.
